This Web site was started on May 13, 2000. We hope you will find it useful. As it expands and becomes more comprehensive, we hope it helps us provide you with better information for your healthcare. In January 2007 we expanded the site and gave it a new "look and feel" with improved navigation. I hope the menu system makes it easier and it certainly will give us the capability to add more pages of information in the "your health" section. All the pages have been updated where needed. The new site will give us the capability for News Alerts on any page (such as closed for snow, etc) and the ability to edit the site from multiple locations. Quality of Care

Summit View Clinic is participating in a national study funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) through the Medical University of South Carolina Department of Family Medicine called A-TRIP. The study is aimed at improving the quality of care with measurable outcomes. We are proud of our participation and will be utilizing information gained through this study to improve our patient care in keeping with our mission statement. You will be noticing some new brochures called "Partners in Health". Please take a look at it (you will need Adobe Reader to download and view). This sort of Quality Improvement is possible because of the Electronic Medical Record we have implemented at Summit View Clinic. We are Paperless!!

Summit View Clinic has implemented a new billing and medical charting system that provides the framework for better medical care. The software we have chosen, after extensive review, is Practice Partner ( www.practicepartner.com ). We started on this software in April 2001. The Advantages will include an interface with the lab for timely results, better management of chronic medical problems with a better ability to follow and graph lab values, and a better billing system with integration of diagnostic codes from the medical record to the billing software. We hope this implementation will allow us to be more efficient and take our patient care to an even higher level. The software is being improved upon all the time. We just underwent another upgrade as of November 2006 we are on the latest version (9.1.1) and the upgrade included a new server. We hope that the upgrades will allow us to utilize more components of the software.
